To students, both graduating and returning, what are your plans when you leave the school? Go to college? Get a job? I'm curious to hear.

As well, what are your current career paths?

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
College, of course.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 09:53 pm (UTC)(link)
And career?

[identity profile] fireybrush.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
... I have to admit, right now I'm thinking some decent ice cream as soon as the monorail's fixed.

Long term, though? I'm guessing one of the colleges focused in the area. My father's pushing for me to work on getting a job with Kaibacorp, but I'm not so sure...

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 09:57 pm (UTC)(link)
... I had momentarily considered the Pro Leagues, but at the moment, all I honestly want to do, and desire to do is learn.

... Might do something about actually showing how to correctly treat people one day, though.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Well this school's alumnis have gone on to work for Industrial Illusions, Kaiba Corporation, and the Professional Leagues. So not a bad choice.

But why don't you feel so sure?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Correctly treat people?

And what had turned you off from the Professional Dueling Circuit?

[identity profile] becomeanwarrior.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll probably end up going to college at some point.

As for current career paths... not sure, I should probably be thinking about that, I'm going to be a third year after finals...

Though, I always kind-of did want to run my own game shop.

[identity profile] fireybrush.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, the more I think it... It might not be such a bad rap working at one of the Academies or colleges as a teacher.

Especially since if the world's going to be constantly in danger, I'd rather be one of the people in a position to fight back against it, the more I think about it...

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
... Yes. Not like doctors or the sort have any idea what they're doing...

Mostly getting stared at.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Always good to here.

Ah? A game shop? How ambitious, Faitayuu-kun.

If you plan to open a shop, perhaps pursue a Business Degree?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
What makes you say that?

Ah, you don't like big crowds?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not that cracked up. You either don't notice things, or you're comically ineffectual, I find.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Personal experience.

Attention of any sort from a large number of people has always been something I haven't "liked".

[identity profile] fireybrush.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
... I'm trying to avoid noticing some things while I keep up with... But I'm not that ineffectual, am I?

... Oh, wait, you meant the teachers in general.

... I don't know what to say about that.

[identity profile] becomeanwarrior.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks.

Yeah, kind of been a little idea I've always had. Open up aa game shop, manage and run it, stock stuff from Duel Monsters to video games and even some DnD stuff. Maybe get my hands on some replica armor and gear, like the stuff I wore when I was first here.

I was thinking that. Not sure if the Academy College branch has classes geared towards Business. If not, I'll just have to look elsewhere.

Care to explain?

Is there any reason why?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not that bad, the job pays well and its enjoyable if you like teenagers.

... I used to have to see a doctor quite a bit when I was younger. They tended to not really know what to do, especially with my... Particular physical traits.

One of them attempted to have me hospitalized indefinitely because they wouldn't believe that my normal body temperature could be so high.

Not much for attention. Not much for being stared at. That's all.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:15 pm (UTC)(link)
There should be other good colleges. Dueling doesn't have to be your life.

But a game store definitely seems like a good idea, Faitayuu-kun.

[identity profile] fireybrush.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
... I think I could handle that.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
I'd recommend going to one of the Duel Colleges if that's your aspirations. They teach you how to be a teacher.

You do realize you are a medical oddity, yes?

Ah. Just not a crowds person. Stage Fright, perhaps.

Re: [Private to Souha]

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, I know. It doesn't mean that they need to act like idiots about it. When someone says that it's the normal temperature, they usually mean it. And I'm not even going to get into how many times people attempted to give me medication, despite records saying not to...

A bit, yes.

Re: [Private to Souha]

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
When it's your normal temperature and you have it that high dear, it means to most doctors that there's something wrong with your body and you need to be treated.

So it's less a slight against you, and more you, Souha, are a very unique person, I'd say. Not that the medical field is quackery.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2009-09-03 10:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It seems like a bunch of quackery to me.
