It's so pleasent to be talking to other royals now. This King Van der Aart fellow really makes my blood burn. I mean, I've never enjoyed things like this before. They always seem so... flippant to me before. But I feel so much more of adult now that I talk to him.

Pity he's so hung up on that Kirihana peasent. I mean, he's trying to breed outside of proper blood. How sad. Why would he stoop so low.

And Ami, please clean up that mess, dahling.

So... how are the rest of you?

We'd be her.

We are quite well.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
Mn, alright. I was wondering, because I wanted to see if an opinion about you was closer or farther from the truth.

Good.

...Why are you speaking as though there's more than one person speaking to me, if you don't mind me asking?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
Hrrrm? What opinion would that be?

Ever heard of the Royal we?

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
I find it's more appropriate to find out whether an opinion is close to the truth or not, by not stating what that opinion is, to the one that it is about.

Nope, never have.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
Ah? And could we stop the psuedo vaguery. WHAT opinion?

Look it up. Then come back.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
An opinion about you. If I were to state it, how you may act may change, even slightly, in order to either prove, or go against, this opinion.

...No, I don't think I will. I'm already speaking to you; so why should I leave to check something, and then come back?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:36 am (UTC)(link)
Stop being so pretentious. It's annoying, dahling.

Pluralis majestatis ("majestic plural") is the plural pronoun where it is used to refer to one person alone. This is also known as the "royal 'we'" or the "Victorian 'we'" because it has usually been restricted to august personages such as monarchs, bishops, popes, and university rectors. The idea behind the pluralis majestatis is that a monarch or other high official always speaks for his or her people.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
Then I have even less reason to state what this opinion was... I just want to see if it's false or not, by how you act, without the knowledge of what this opinion is, exactly.

...Mn. I see. So what is your reason for speaking that way, then?

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
... --; How stupid.

Royal blood.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
That's just how opinions are. If one were aware of them, they would act in such a way to either disprove or prove it, but it would get rid of the natural reactions one would have... That, and for some reason, it's honestly slightly amusing to make it this way, regardless.

Mn. That stuff... Guess that is important.... In a literal sense, at least.

Rawr.

... ::Rubs head::

My headache came back. Thanks.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
...Ah. Mn. Sorry. I didn't mean to give you a headache, Miss Noriko... Seeing as I've been having quite a few of them, that's one of the last things I would really want to give someone.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Apologies, apologies... Really, I am sorry. I do hope that you'll get over that soon enough, Miss Noriko.

[identity profile] thefifthmonarch.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
I'm going to go lay down and go sleepy night night.

[identity profile] keepersouha.livejournal.com 2007-11-15 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
...Fine. Good night, Miss Noriko.

Feel better. And again, sorry that I gave you a headache.
