Another essay question. Optional work.

Seen it talked about lately, but can someone clearly explain what they think is the proper mindset for entering Pro Duelings, and explanations to why that sort behavior and actions are necessity.

5 Paragraphs. Beginning, 3 Middle, and closing.

Any overly harassing or insulting comments here will be deleted.

Also, bonus question/essay: Do you think that Pro Duelists are prone to any sort of mental illness or other sort of problems. If so, what do you believe causes/agitates this issue?

It honestly all depends on what y're aimin' f'. Either y'gonna set f' a long-term run, or y'gonna take what y'can get. There's a ton 'f examples 'f both, but let's keep t' two well-known names 'ere.

F' instance, there's Pros like Mathmatica, who got attention cause 'f his thematic an' act. He never really went anywhere though, cause people only watched 'im duel cause 'f 'ow he acted-- not cause he was good, despite one bein' ranked as tenth in th' league. But then there's Pro Duelists like one 'f th' older Champ, Hibiki Kouyou. This guy was pretty serious, y'know? He was calm, collected, an' put on a good show just through duelin', an' gained 'is popularity cause he was a good duelist-- not cause he had an act goin', far as people could tell.

Doin' it th' way Hibiki did tends t' be pretty hard, though. Y'gotta stand up t' a higher standard than most, an' keep the win record up while keepin' th' duels entertainin'. No one's gonna wanna watch a duel where one side obliterates th' other, no-- th' duel's gonna have t' be a show in itself, with tight corners in change 'f dominance, an' an impressive finish t' go with it. But many can't do that, cause 'f either th' mentality 'f weakness 'r strength, an' those who try without th' proper know-how will end up vanishin' after a couple months.

That's where th' actin' side 'f th' Pro Leagues comes in. Those who can't manage it straight through their own duels will usually come up with a gimmick t' market, or their managers might make gimmicks f' 'em, instead, which is where th' "take what y'can get" stuff comes from. But usually, these guys don't end up goin' anywhere but straight, cause their popularity will only be built 'pon their acts, until they actually do manage t' put on an impressive show without it. Though 'd imagine most managers don't do that, due t' th' risk that might appear f' it.

Actions like that only become a necessity due t' a desire t' stay in th' pro leagues, despite th' inability t' go th' route that more long-term players will go. While these actin' sorts might end up risin' up in ranks in th' Pro Leagues, they only stay there f' a short 'mount 'f time, while those who duel without th' act will manage t' stay in higher positions longer. That's just how it tends t' be, an' it's why so many actin' Pro League duelists come an' go quickly, without makin' much 'f an impact.

Also, f' th' bonus question, I think anyone from 'round 'ere's gonna be more susceptible t' goin' nuts as anyone in th' Pro Leagues, though added stress t' stay at least at a constant, demands from managers an' sponsors, an' opponent's actions, could all go an' contribute t' an unstable state 'f mind.

Very interesting read, but your slangy style makes it hard to read and slows down and distracts the reader.

But considering the material available, you do make a good point of the nature of the Pro Leagues, from the sounds of it. It addresses that most of the duelists lack the oomph or personality to stick, while on a very small number can last if they are able to create a sort of gravity around them.

It's good, but the slang hurts it severely. So, probably would have to drop it to an Average/C mark.

And what sort of "Unstable state of mind" would you say would result from this?

I considered goin' an' writin' it all proper, but it would've looked weird by this point if I did.

Either a perfectionist mind by tryin' t' stay at th' constant an' resolve demands t' 'em, makin' em stiff an' strict t' th' point where they may be unreasonable 'bout things in any other area as well, or a violent an' easily enraged mind due t' those they'd have t' deal with.

Bonus Question: Almost all pro duelists are prone to being overly confident or overly hard on themselves. I don't know what causes it though; but I think pro dueling is a form of performing combined with competition, and the performance aspect attracts people like that. I think most performers are either overly confident or overly self depreciative.
